Moss Graffiti – Thursday April 19th, 2012

What:

Moss paint  is a lot more eco-friendly than the toxic chemicals used in spray paint, and succeed in bringing a piece of nature and life to inanimate walls and ceilings. Besides, you don’t even need to be an environmental person to appreciate these works of art.

We are going to make some Moss Graffiti past and use it to stencil in some moss pictures on the roof of VHS.
(Note: We will only be pasting the Moss Graffiti on VHS’s own property)

What you need:

  • 3 handfuls of moss
  • 3 cups of lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp of water retention gel
  • 1/2 cup of buttermilk
  • Bucket
  • Paintbrush
  • Wood or rough concrete
(Supplies will be provided by VHS)
Steps:
  1. Crumble moss
  2. Pour water and moss into blender
  3. Add water retention gardening gel
  4. Add buttermilk
  5. Blend until gel forms
  6. Put the gel into a bucket
  7. Paint onto wood or rough concrete
  8. Mist weekly
  9. Watch your art grow!
