Requesting Training

Some tools require mandatory training before use because they involve higher risks, specialized techniques, or proper setup to operate safely and effectively. Training helps protect yourself and others, keeps tools in good condition, and helps ensure successful projects.

Below is a list of commonly used tools that require training and how to request it. This is not an exhaustive list.

We understand that individual members may have different levels of experience and comfort when working with tools. Please do not hesitate to ask for help or a demo, even if you have already completed the required training.

When in doubt, ask on Slack or Talk.
