-Training fees often help run the space by way of purchasing consumables and raising funds for new tools.  Trainers also commit their time to help you get started in the space and are deserving for a bit of compensation for their time as well.
-Most trainers also understand there are some people facing financial hardships.  If this applies to you speak with the trainer privately and i'm sure something can be worked out.
