Only use cutting implements intended for a self-healing cutting mat. In practise, this means rotary cutters only! Other cutters, such as box cutters and exacto knives will gouges the surface, causing runs in fine fabrics.

Please keep the surface of the cutting table clean and free of any liquids or other materials which could stain or otherwise compromise delicate fabrics.
