The Vancouver Hack Space (VHS) is a non-profit collective society that provides a physical space where people can gather to share ideas, equipment, opinions, and cheer.
Members work on personal projects, collaborate with others, and learn new skills. More than just a studio space, we focus on sharing all sorts of knowledge within a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. VHS is the community workshop for a community without workshops.
Many of our members share an interest in 3D printers, laser cutting, machining, crafting, costuming and cosplay, prop making, electronics, robotics, programming, wood working, and art. We welcome anyone with skills to share or an interest in learning, and strive to be as open as possible in everything we do.
Like many other hackspaces, the Vancouver Hack Space operates on a model of do-ocracy. Check out our Code of Conduct and VHS House Rules for how we expect members and visitors to behave. Our Bylaws
We are located at 1601 Venables St in Vancouver, 2 blocks West of Commercial Drive at Woodlands Dr.

VHS Talk (forum/mailing list) - the easiest way to keep up to date on member discussions and upcoming events.
Slack - Slack is somewhat similar to IRC, and has replaced our IRC channel as our official member-chat medium. Unfortunately you need to be invited by one of the current admins to get access to it - that's slack.com's requirement, not ours. Information on how to do that can be found on the VHS Talk forum.
And at some point, we will start using A VHS Discord because it isn't the 90's and no one knows what IRC is anymore.
