isvhsopen.com is intended to tell non-keyholding members when VHS is open, so they can come down.

The backbone is a hackspace api, which acts as a public key-value store, the most important one being “door” for this project.
One of the frustrations of members was that they'd see that the space was open, head down, and it would be closed by the time they got there.
While previously, the control was just a lightswitch, a new controller was built, slowly, with a input from many people. Bruce, Luke C, Jarrett, Garth, and finally finished off by Shane.
It was finally made live in December 2015, with a complete API rewrite by Garth.
